When a person is continuously subjected to stress in his professional life, he risks serious physical strains. However, the circle can be broken. There is help, from the GAD model for example, that begins with a clear ‘No’.

The most recently published stress report of 2012 outlines a clear picture: when asked about stress factors, 58 percent of the 20000 respondents mentioned multitasking, while 52 percent stated great schedule and performance pressure was putting stress on them. Every second respondent complained of monotony (50 percent), while disturbances irritated 44 percent of the respondents and that family or personal interests were not considered at the workplace when planning the schedules was a factor mentioned by 40 percent.

Long periods of mental strain at the workplace can lead to overload, critical physical symptoms of stress and – in the worst case – to burn out. An honest analysis of the actual situation is necessary to avoid this.
