Knowing what drives you and keeps you going makes the work life easier: Tasks take less effort and it is easier to deal with colleagues. And, time just flies. Experts call this state “flow”. How can we achieve it?

When was the last time you went to work happily and in an exhilarated state of mind? With a wide grin and the feeling: “Wow, what a superb job I have!”? Or do you torture yourself in the editing department and look forward to the end of the working day right from the morning? Because you fear that, “a customer or a colleague will complain about my documents again today and will again want to have changes”? Take some time to consider what applies to you: good mood or dismal prospects?

Flow protects from stress

If you tend towards type 2 and rather focus on failures and negative thoughts, then your energy is not up to much. In addition, as a technical writer you are definitely working by the textbook – not a trace of fun at work.
